Brave the Wilderness is a week long, overnight retreat for high school students hosted and put together by several parishes from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Held at Forest Glen in Huntsville, Texas, Brave gives students an opportunity for teens to meet members of other local parishes while building lasting relationships with them and with Christ. Camp activities include zipline, rockwall, swimming, competition games, nightly talks, prayer experiences, Adoration, daily Mass and so much more!
Brave is open to students enrolled in 7th-12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year. Transportation, food & a t-shirt are provided (however we are separating the transportation cost this year from the base price). Spots are limited so register and reserve your today by contacting Elizabeth Selmarten and filling out the form below! Please note that the 7th-8th grade form can be find here.
The initial payment will be a $100 deposit. Full payment of the $435 base cost and the last day to drop is April 1, 2024. If you haven't paid the full amount by the April 1 deadline, you will be dropped unless you have contacted and work something out with me prior. Please note that both the deposit and full amount are non-refundable. There will be an additional transportation fee closer to the date, however, efforts will be made to fundraise enough to competely cover at least the transportation cost. Scholarships and fundraising are available so do not let money be an issue.
Chaperones (21+) and logistics (adults 18-20) are free but will need to register below as well as do a background check and attend camp-specific training later in Spring 2024.
When: June 24-28, 2024

Registration Drop & Final Payment Deadline: April 1, 2024
*$100 deposit due with registration & fundraising opportunities are available throughout the year. Goal is to fundraise enough to competely cover at least the transportation cost.
